Pink Pony

News from Pink, a remote location, near the world-famous icebergs of the South Pacific. What is it really like living on the earth's surface in the South Pacific where you are kept warm by a nuclear reactor, and hang in space suspended by the forces of gravity and the speed of light? I wonder?

OYSTER CATCHER CHICK ARRIVE FOR CHRISTMAS
Two oyster catcher birds are nesting on Warrington Beach near Dunedin.

A local resident was bird-spotting earlier today and saw one tiny bird, feeding with its parents.

Another resident who was walking her dog and saw the couple bird-spotting advised the couple about the chicks and pointed out another nest to the couple.

The bird-spotting couple go out regularly armed with binoculars and good walking shoes in search of the godwits, oyster catches, spoonbills and molly morks who inhabit the wetlands and beach area.

BOXING DAY BRINGS THE WORLD'S BIGGEST EARTHQUAKE IN 40 YEARS TO SOUTH ASIA
South Asia was hit by an earthquake measuring 8.9 on the richter scale early this morning.

Tsumanis hit southern India, Sumatra in Indonesia, and a popular tourist resort in Thailand.

It was the biggest earthquake the world has seen in forty years and follows closely behind a similar size earthquake that hit over 800km south of Invercargill, New Zealand late last week.

Thousands of people are reported dead and more are expected as the toll goes up.

According to a British tourist, it was 10am in the morning in Phuket when the tsumani hit.
The beach was full of sunbathers and people out strolling.

Debris of cars smashed up, hotels destroyed, palm trees submerged in water were some of the scene.
