Pink Pony

News from Pink, a remote location, near the world-famous icebergs of the South Pacific. What is it really like living on the earth's surface in the South Pacific where you are kept warm by a nuclear reactor, and hang in space suspended by the forces of gravity and the speed of light? I wonder?

Jane Austin and more

I am most pleased to have discovered my new favourite writer for 2006 - Jane Austin.
I was told she was the very first Bridget Jones, and I think that is right. Mr Darcy features, and so does the love hate relationship between the ladies and their potential men friends.

At this point, I have just finished Pride and Prejudice, and are nearly finished Sense and Sensibility.

Make sure you go and get a copy, the girls will love it.

I am also about to depart on a round the world trip taking in cities such as Buenos Aires, Santiago, Havana, London, Paris, the island of Jersey, and Tokyo before heading back the land of the long white cloud. Can't wait.

Have you ever wondered what happened to the old weather?

I have just arrived home, safely I might add, after an evening of girl talk with fellow business people. The early evening was hosted by a local group, and featured a talk by a popular journalist. After sipping and tasting various wines on offer, a look out the window revealed droplets of hail pelting against the windows.

Oh no I thought to myself, how am I going to get home, and gosh I better go soon.

The girl I was sitting with kindly offered me a lift, and so I dutifully accepted.
The hail resulted in slush along the hillsides across the city, and we were rather dubious about actually driving. Neverless, we perservered, and dropped the other passenger off at the bottom of her street, and took her advice weaving our way down the possible treachery hillsides through the lush woodlands which reside on the hills of Dunedin.

ahh. Good. on the flat, slush, but at least we made it.

I'm beginning to wonder where on earth the tipping point has got to.

I think we are there, as I cannot remember so much snow ever, at least in my lifetime. It seems as the snow keeps coming and coming and coming.

If it freezes tonight, you won't want to be on the road here tomorrow.

It is even worse inland and up in Canterbury. I wonder how my Nana is tonight.
